The existing farm and steading buildings on a site to the south of the river Forth were offered for sale.
The large steading had planning permission to be converted into six dwellings, though was in a state of major disrepair.
The investment required to develop the steading and farmhouse outweighed the value of the finished project and proved the purchase price to be unrealistic.
By demolishing the steading immediate to the large Farmhouse the house then becomes a far more attractive proposition as a comfortable rural home with generous paddocks/garden ground.
Renovation of the farmhouse is achieved by selling the land adjacent to the road for development, which is screened from the house by planting. The tree lined drive is also shielded from the land ear marked for development. A courtyard is formed to the rear of the house with new garage/stableblock and adjacent kitchen garden.
Part of the steading is retained and converted into office space, workshop or small livestock shelter.
